For such a short month, February packed a punch for all of the big sporting events and the outfits they called for our favorite athletes to step out in. This month’s installment of tunnel ‘fits saw looks beyond the tunnel and onto the Super Bowl halftime show, All-Star weekend, and the Time magazine’s Women of the Year celebration. But the same rules apply as last month: I’m ranking my faves from the month.
This month’s picks lean more femme. I love the Glam tunnel Unrivaled created for its players, so you’ll see a few ‘fits from that league, red carpet photos, and men repping the WNBA. Please note that more than half of these picks aren’t tunnel ‘fits precisely, but there are a lot of athletes in good outfits for sports-adjacent events, turning the world into their runway to get their fits off, all the same.
Below, we look at 10 standout basketball and football game-day outfits for February. I couldn’t stop thinking about these looks, and I doubt I am alone in that. Last month, I was super drawn to green outerwear and fuzzy, more textured knitwear. This month’s picks are all over the place, but you’ll see what I mean, so keep scrolling.
A’ja Wilson and Jordan Chiles

There is something so endearing about seeing women who perform at the highest athletic level also be full-on baddies. Also, selfishly, as another woman who is 4’11 “, I like seeing Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles pose next to Las Vegas Aces basketball player A’ja Wilson, who is 6’4” without heels.
Andrew Nembhard
Playa Society makes the best WNBA merch, including the baseball jersey Indiana Pacers’ guard Andrew Nembhard (slide 10) is wearing. The jersey is still for sale on the brand’s website, and you can get yours here.
Kendrick Lamar
I know, I know. Kendrick Lamar isn’t an athlete, but he is having the best run ever, and the thighs in his flared (*not* bootcut) Celine jeans are worth acknowledging. His custom pg Lang jacket by Martine Rose and Nike Diamond Turf ’96 aren’t too bad, either.
Serena Williams
Speaking of the Super Bowl, Serena Willams surprised us at the Super Bowl to do her controversial crip walk during Kendrick Lamar’s performance in a pair of Chuck 70s, a collaboration designed by Black-owned, men’s luxury brand A Ma Maniére.
Angel Reese
Now we know Angel Reese knows her way around a red carpet but ever since stylist Law Roach told her, as a guest on her podcast, that he wanted to see her in more clothing, our girl has been in more clothing. Like this take on men’s deconstructed suiting she’s showing off her McDonald’s meal in, or the denim jacket and maxi skirt she wore with a pair of surrealist gloves, holding an Hermés Birkin (below).
Rickea Jackson
I’m going to be honest: Los Angeles Sparks’ Rickea Jackson’s gorgeous face is doing the heavy lifting for this look, but extra points for the chopsticks in her bun; that was a nice throwback.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
It’s not a secret: I like fur, and I enjoy that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander enjoys fur and isn’t afraid of a handbag, which, for the record, is my favorite part of this look for All-Star Weekend.
Skylar Diggins
Fur sleeves? Yes, exactly, Skylar Diggins. See what I mean about the Unrivaled ladies? They just get it.
Devonta Smith
Super Bowl champion Devonta Smith put on his finest deacon suit for the big game, and it worked because the Philadelphia Eagles won.
Pascal Siakam
Indiana Pacers’ Pascal Siakam (third slide above) also sported WNBA merch in favor of the Indiana Fever, and it was cool to see him using his tunnel ‘fit for good.
